Volunteer Your Raw Data to the Facial-Soft-Tissue-Depth Data Store
To have your data indefinitely stored in the C-table (and openly accessed by other persons), the principal investigator on your study must volunteer, in writing, your raw data to CRANIOFACIALidentification.com. This is most easily acheived by using this email link.
Your facial soft tissue depth data should:
- be clearly formatted
- saved as a Microsoft® Excel® 2003/2007 file
- be accompanied by a clear and precise list of the measurement landmarks that you used (include definitions/illustrations/citations to your prior published work as necessary).
Your email must acknowledge that:
- the raw data are voluntarily submitted with the undisputed approval of all co-authors/co-investigators
- the raw data represent honest work
- you understand that the raw data will be centrally stored at craniofacialidentification.com for an indefinite period of time
- the raw data will be available to any person accessing craniofacialidentification.com
- some of your raw data may be excluded depending on the landmarks you investigated
- you understand that the C-table is only updated on an annual basis and/or as time permits
Your email should also state:
- whether or not your data have previously passed professional peer review and/or been published, so they can be tagged as such
Once your data have been processed you will be emailed a copy of the collated table for proofing before the updated version goes live online.
Benefits to submitting your raw data to the C-Table include increased citations to your previously published work as other researchers use your raw data in their new research.
